The List Management Utility is a highly efficient application for cleaning your email contact lists.

For example, when contacting multiple parties via an email subscription list, you may want to confirm that:

1- You have not contacted the parties before (filter against previous list)
2-
They aren't listed more than once in the new list (remove duplicates)
3-
They are not listed in your company's "do not contact list"

There are many variations and uses for this program as a bulk email tool. Here is a sample session:

Step 1- Before starting, place your email list(s) in text files. Entries may be separated by lines, commas or tabs.

Step 2- Open your list to clean in the first box. Duplicate entries are automatically removed.

Step 3- Optional Step. If you have a list of parties that have requested not to be contacted (i.e. they opted out of your distributions), load this list in the second list box.

Step 4- Load your list of previously contacted parties (or your do not contact list) in the third box.

Step 5- Clicking "Sort Now" under the fourth list box will show all the emails from the first list box, but remove any addresses that also appear in the second or third box. This is now a "pure" list of all the parties that you're contacting for the first time.

Step 6- Pressing "Merge Now" under the fifth list box will add the third and fourth list boxes together. This will become the list of previously contacted parties (box 3) for your next campaign.

Notes:

1) Bulk email tool references on this page are referring to lawful communications where the sender and receiver have an existing relationship.

2) You must register the program in order to save the lists generated in box 4 and 5 (see File -> Register).

3) To clear list boxes: File -> Clear All Lists

4) Email addresses may be entered alone or with names. For example: Joe <joe@abc.com>

5) Program will recognize duplicate emails even if name parts are different. For example, if there are two entries "Joe <jo@abc.com>" and "John <jo@abc.com>" in the input list, there will only be one entry in the output list.
